The Iraqi Journal of Physics (IJP) publishes original research and review articles that advance knowledge in theoretical, experimental, and applied physics. The Journal welcomes contributions from researchers worldwide and aims to make scientifically sound findings accessible to the international physics community.

The journal considers research in the following areas:

  • Nuclear and Particle Physics
  • Atomic and Molecular Physics
  • Condensed Matter and Materials Physics
  • Optics and Electro-Optics Physics
  • Plasma and Laser Physics
  • Medical and Biophysics
  • Quantum Mechanics and Quantum Information
  • Relativity and Cosmology
  • Astrophysics, Atmospheric, and Space Physics
  • Remote Sensing and Image Processing
  • General and Interdisciplinary Physics
  • Nonlinear Dynamics and Complex Systems
  • Renewable and Sustainable Energies
  • Statistical and Computational Physics

Interdisciplinary research in areas such as remote sensing, image processing, renewable energy, and scientific or engineering applications is considered when its research question, methods, or findings make a clear and substantial contribution to physics. Authors should explain this connection in the manuscript.

The journal considers original research articles and review articles within its stated scope. Original research articles must present a clear research question, appropriate methods, reliable results, and a contribution that fits the journal's scope. Review articles should provide a critical and well-structured synthesis of the literature, identify current challenges or gaps, and offer insight or directions for future research. Manuscript preparation requirements are provided in the Author Guidelines.
